Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi earns its name honestly: from its ridge, on a sufficiently clear afternoon, both the Gulf of Naples to the north and the Gulf of Salerno to the south are simultaneously visible, a geographical curiosity that has drawn travellers and painters for centuries.
