The Lisbon Guided Fado Tour is a three-hour walking tour through Mouraria and Alfama, the two Lisbon neighbourhoods most closely associated with fado, the Portuguese genre of melancholic song recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage. The tour departs from the Capela de Nossa Senhora da Saúde and moves through the narrow alleys, squares, and taverns where fado musicians and singers have performed for generations, with guides covering the music's origins, its key figures, and its place in Portuguese daily life. Mouraria is widely regarded as the birthplace of fado, and Alfama has long been its most enduring home, making both neighbourhoods central to understanding the tradition rather than simply hearing it.

Throughout the route, guests hear live fado performances in the streets and local venues, giving the music its proper context rather than a stage setting. The tour closes at a popular fado house in Alfama, where a final performance is accompanied by traditional Portuguese appetizers and a glass of Ginjinha, the cherry liqueur long associated with Lisbon. Tickets cover the guided walk, all live performances, the appetizers, and the Ginjinha tasting. The tour is not suitable for wheelchair users. Cancellation is accepted before the booked timeslot.
