Porto Fado Shows

Porto Fado Shows brings together some of Porto's most celebrated fado venues under one discovery, offering visitors a direct route into the city's living tradition of this UNESCO-recognised Portuguese music. Fado arrived in Porto carrying its own distinct character, shaped by the working-class neighbourhoods of Ribeira and the melancholy of the Douro waterfront, and the city's performers have long maintained a repertoire that sits apart from the Lisbon school.

Current experiences include an intimate concert at Fado Maior do Porto, a show paired with Port wine, an evening at A Casa do Fado in the historic São João Novo quarter, a performance at Destino Fado, and a Coimbra-style fado show at the Palácio dos Viscondes de Pereira Machado.
