Hunter Valley: Hot Air Balloon Flight at Sunrise

Hunter Valley: Hot Air Balloon Flight at Sunrise is a guided balloon experience departing at dawn over the Hunter Valley wine region, approximately two hours north of Sydney. Operated by multi-award-winning Balloon Aloft, the flight covers the vineyards and valleys of Pokolbin, Lovedale, Rothbury, and Broke from an altitude that places passengers well above the canopy line. The flight itself runs around 50 minutes, with guests given the option to assist with balloon inflation before take-off at the Corner of Wine Country Drive and Broke Road.

In the air, a pilot navigates the balloon across the patchwork of vines, farmland, and ridgelines that define this part of New South Wales. Digital in-flight photography is included, so the aerial views are captured without passengers needing their own equipment. After landing, transport takes guests to Peterson House Winery for a gourmet breakfast and sparkling wine tasting, rounding out the morning before the return transfer. Tickets cover the full balloon flight, ground transport to and from launch and landing sites, the Peterson House breakfast, sparkling wine, and digital photography. Wheelchair access is not available for this experience.
