Start your day with a relaxing one-hour cruise on picturesque Lake Lucerne to Vitznau. Change onto Europe’s first-ever mountain railway dating from 1871 and set out on the journey to the top, Rigi Kulm. From 1,797 meters above sea level, let your gaze wander over the Swiss midlands with 13 lakes and a sea of 620 Alpine peaks. Enjoy time to explore one of the many hiking trails, take a moment of silence at the Rigi Kulm mountain chapel, or to have a bite to eat at one of the restaurants. Continue to the car-free village of Rigi Kaltbad by cogwheel train and take a stroll across the village square, where you will spot the Mineralbad & Spa designed by the renowned Swiss architect Mario Botta. Follow an easy hiking trail with a slight incline to the Känzeli viewing platform (optional). Descend by aerial cable car and enjoy an impressive vista of pristine Lake Lucerne.
