Rainforestation Nature Park and Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is a combined attraction ticket covering two separate wildlife and cultural sites in Kuranda, near Cairns. The Rainforestation Nature Park, located on the Kennedy Highway, brings together three distinct experiences: the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience, where guides from the local indigenous community demonstrate traditional customs, music, and dance; an Army Duck tour through the tropical rainforest aboard an amphibious vehicle; and the Koala and Wildlife Park, where visitors can see native animals including the rare cassowary, wallabies, and wombats. The Butterfly Sanctuary, a short distance away, is one of Australia's largest butterfly enclosures and is home to species including the Cairns birdwing, with its distinctive green and yellow colouring, and the electric-blue Ulysses butterfly.

At the Butterfly Sanctuary, entry includes access to all exhibits and a guided aviary and laboratory tour that explains the full lifecycle of tropical butterfly species. Both sites are wheelchair accessible, and a shuttle bus runs between the two parks for an additional fee. Tickets cover admission to both attractions, all shows, and exhibits across the Rainforestation Nature Park. For more things to do in Cairns and the surrounding region, the area offers a wide range of rainforest and reef activities suitable for most itineraries.
