Om dette sted

The London Eye stands on the South Bank of the Thames, directly opposite the Houses of Parliament, and has become one of the most recognisable structures in the British capital since it opened to the public in 2000. Designed by architects David Marks and Julia Barfield, the observation wheel rises 135 metres above the river and offers uninterrupted views across central London from its enclosed, climate-controlled capsules. Each slow rotation takes approximately thirty minutes, giving passengers time to pick out landmarks from St Paul's Cathedral to Windsor Castle on a clear day.

The London Eye Ticket Office is the on-site point of entry for the full range of experiences available on the wheel. Among those currently on offer is the London Eye Afternoon Tea Experience, which pairs a full circuit of the wheel with a traditional afternoon tea served inside a private capsule. The combination places one of England's most enduring culinary traditions against a panorama that few dining settings in the city can rival.
