Top of the Rock

Top of the Rock sits at the summit of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, rising 70 floors above Midtown Manhattan to offer some of the most celebrated views in New York. Opened in 2005 after a lengthy restoration, the observation deck was originally built in the 1930s as part of John D. Rockefeller Jr.'s grand Rockefeller Center complex, a landmark of Art Deco architecture that transformed the city's skyline. Unlike enclosed observation platforms elsewhere in the city, Top of the Rock features three open-air and glass-enclosed decks, giving visitors unobstructed sightlines across Central Park to the north and the Empire State Building to the south.

Tickets are available in several formats, including General Admission, an All-Inclusive Pass, and the Beam Experience, which recreates the famous 1932 photograph of ironworkers lunching on a steel beam high above the city.
