The Palais de Chaillot stands on the Trocadéro hill in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, directly across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower. Built for the 1937 International Exposition, the building replaced an earlier Moorish-influenced palace and was designed by architects Léon Azéma, Louis-Hippolyte Boileau, and Jacques Carlu. Its two curved wings frame the Trocadéro Gardens and offer one of the most celebrated views in the French capital. The complex houses several institutions, including the Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine and the Musée de l'Homme, making it a place where architecture, anthropology, and history converge under one roof.

For visitors using the Palais de Chaillot as a starting point, a half-day tour to Giverny is currently available, taking guests from Paris to the house and gardens that inspired Claude Monet's most famous paintings. The journey follows the Seine valley northwest to Normandy, where Monet's water garden and the Japanese bridge remain among the most visited artistic landscapes in France.
