Swiss Riviera Boat Tour at Lausanne Lake Cruises

The Swiss Riviera Boat Tour is a two-hour lake excursion departing from Quai Edouard-Jaccoud in Lausanne, taking passengers along the northern shore of Lake Geneva through one of Switzerland's most varied stretches of Alpine waterfront. The route passes Chillon Castle, a medieval fortress that dates to the 12th century and sits directly on the lake's edge, as well as the wetland nature reserve at the eastern end of the shore. The surrounding Alps form a continuous backdrop, with forested slopes running down to the water's edge for much of the crossing.

During the two hours on the water, the boat moves through a series of small lakeside villages that line the Lausanne and Montreux shoreline, giving passengers a close view of the architecture and vineyards that characterise this part of western Switzerland. The Lavaux vineyard terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are visible from the water between Lausanne and Vevey. Tickets cover the full two-hour circuit and are non-transferable once the departure date has passed, so cancellations must be made before the scheduled date. Note that the vessel is not wheelchair accessible.
