Villa Gregoriana is a landscaped park in Tivoli, a short distance from Rome, commissioned by Pope Gregory XVI and opened in 1835. The park was created around a dramatic gorge carved by the Aniene river, and it remains one of the more unusual green spaces in the Rome area, combining natural scenery with a concentration of ancient ruins rarely found outside a museum. The terrain centres on two waterfalls, the Grande Cascata and the smaller Cascata di Bernini, with the Grande Cascata dropping around 120 metres into the gorge below.

Visitors follow a network of trails through woodland, past grottoes, Roman temple remains, and viewpoints over the gorge. The paths are uneven and involve steps and steep sections, so the park is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs. Comfortable footwear is strongly recommended. Entry tickets cover access to the full trail network and all natural features within the park, starting from Largo Sant'Angelo 1 in Tivoli. Guided tours are not included. Cancellation terms apply up to a specified date, so check your booking confirmation for the exact deadline.
