The Daruma Jeans-Making Experience is a hands-on workshop in Harajuku, Tokyo, where participants design and construct a pair of jeans from scratch. Japan has built a strong reputation for premium denim production since the mid-twentieth century, and this session draws on that tradition by walking guests through the full construction process, from selecting fabric weight and cut to stitching and finishing. The workshop is set in Harajuku, one of Tokyo's most distinctive neighbourhoods, making it a practical addition to a broader city itinerary.
During the session, participants choose their denim fabric, customise details such as stitching colour and hardware, and assemble the garment under guided instruction. No prior sewing experience is required. The format is structured around individual pace, so guests leave with a finished, wearable pair of jeans made to their own measurements and specifications. Booking covers the full workshop session, all materials including fabric and fittings, and use of equipment throughout. Participants should allow several hours for completion. Tickets are available for individuals, and the session is conducted with English support to assist international visitors.
These tickets cannot be cancelled or rescheduled.
