A mountain day above Grindelwald at 2,168 m, with gondola access, the First Cliff Walk, and direct views of the Eiger north face.
Grindelwald First is a mountain day out above the village of Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland, roughly 20 kilometres from Interlaken. The summit plateau sits at around 2,168 metres and offers direct views across the Eiger north face, the Wetterhorn, and the Schreckhorn. A gondola lift carries visitors from the valley floor to the top station, where the terrain opens onto walking trails, a cliff walk, and the First Flyer zip line.
At the top, the First Cliff Walk by Tissot is a steel walkway cantilevered over the ridge, giving unobstructed views down into the valley. The area also has a toboggan run, mountain carts, and a trottibike descent route for those wanting more activity. Tickets cover the return gondola journey and access to the summit area. Check the schedule for seasonal opening dates, as some activities operate only in summer or winter. For more to plan around your visit, see things to do in Interlaken.
