Entry to the Aquarium of Naples covers access to one of the oldest public aquariums in Europe, founded in 1874 by German zoologist Anton Dohrn as part of the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn research institute. Located in the Villa Comunale park in central Naples, the facility has operated continuously as both a scientific research centre and a public exhibit for over 150 years.
