Pompeii and Naples
À partir de29,50 €
Entry to the ancient Roman city buried by Vesuvius in 79 AD, with skip-the-queue options and flexible audio guide add-ons.
Pompeii is one of the most significant archaeological landmarks in the world, located near Naples in southern Italy. Buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, the ancient Roman city was preserved beneath volcanic ash for nearly 1,700 years before excavations began in the 18th century. The site covers roughly 44 hectares, with around two-thirds currently excavated, revealing streets, temples, bathhouses, forums, and private homes in remarkable condition. Entry tickets give access to the full archaeological park, allowing visitors to move through the ruins at their own pace across a half-day or full-day visit.
Inside the site, key areas include the Forum, the Lupanar, the House of the Faun, the amphitheatre, and the Garden of the Fugitives, where plaster casts of eruption victims remain on display. Audio guide options are available at booking, covering the main routes with commentary on the history and architecture of individual structures. Tickets are available in standard and skip-the-queue formats, with the latter allowing direct entry without waiting at the gate. For more things to do in the area, see Pompeii Naples attractions.
