Your experience Explore Sainte-Chapelle with reserved entry, live English commentary, and a guided walk through Île de la Cité’s historic landmarks. Getting started Arrive 10 minutes early at Café
The Sainte-Chapelle Guided Tour is a guided visit to one of Paris's finest examples of Gothic architecture, built in the 13th century under King Louis IX to house the Crown of Thorns and other relics. The chapel sits on the Île de la Cité, the historic island at the heart of the city, and is particularly noted for its upper chapel, where 15 floor-to-ceiling stained glass windows spanning roughly 600 square metres depict over 1,000 biblical scenes. A live English-speaking guide leads the group through the site, providing historical and architectural context that the windows and stonework alone cannot convey.
The tour covers the lower and upper chapels, with commentary on the construction, the relics originally housed here, and the chapel's survival through the French Revolution. Reserved entry is included, bypassing the standard queue at the entrance. Participants are advised to arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Tickets are valid for the confirmed date and time slot selected at booking. For more things to do in Paris, the Île de la Cité neighbourhood also contains Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Conciergerie, both within easy walking distance.
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time.
