The Reeperbahn Guided Night Walking Tour is a 90-minute evening tour through Hamburg's St. Pauli district, covering the streets, bars, and landmarks that make the Reeperbahn one of the most talked-about neighbourhoods in northern Europe. Starting at Beatles-Platz on Reeperbahn 174, a local guide leads a small group through the area's layered history, from its seafaring roots to its role in the early careers of bands who passed through Hamburg's club circuit in the 1960s. The route takes in Herbertstraße, the district's most debated street, and passes the Davidswache Police Station, where Paul McCartney and David Best once spent a night in the cells.
Along the way, the group stops at Zur Ritze, a cult bar with a long history in the neighbourhood, and visits the gym where the Klitschko brothers trained during their time in Hamburg. The guide covers the social and cultural history of the area with the kind of detail that comes from local knowledge rather than a guidebook. Tickets include a live English-speaking guide, two Hamburg-style shots, and one beer or soft drink per person. Gratuities and any entrance fees for attractions along the route are not included. The tour is not suitable for wheelchair users. Booking covers the full 90-minute guided walk with drinks included.
