Plan Your Visit to Fox Glacier Heli-Hike

Tours depart from 44 Main Road in Franz Josef. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. The experience lasts up to seven hours including helicopter flights and glacier exploration. A strong level of fitness is essential for several hours on challenging glacier terrain.

Participants must weigh under 116kg and be at least 13 years old, with a minimum of two guests per tour. Bring warm layers, sunglasses, sunscreen and snacks, keeping within the 3kg baggage limit for helicopter flights. All technical equipment is provided, but drones are not permitted during the tour.
