Grand Canyon West

Grand Canyon West is a destination on the western rim of the Grand Canyon, operated by the Hualapai Tribe on their sovereign land in north-western Arizona. Situated roughly 120 miles from Las Vegas, it offers one of the most dramatic viewpoints along the canyon's entire length, with sheer cliffs dropping more than 3,000 feet to the Colorado River below.

The site's defining feature is the Skywalk, a horseshoe-shaped glass bridge that extends 70 feet out over the rim, allowing visitors to look straight down through the transparent floor to the canyon floor far beneath. Entry tickets with Skywalk access give visitors the chance to walk that glass bridge as well as explore the rim's open-air viewpoints. Grand Canyon West also serves as a gateway to Hualapai cultural heritage, with the tribe maintaining a presence at the site that reflects their long connection to this landscape. For those travelling from Las Vegas, it represents the most accessible point at which the true scale of the Grand Canyon becomes immediate and physical.
