A guided coasteering tour along the Arrábida coast near Lisbon, combining swimming, abseiling, cliff jumping, and sea cave exploration.
Tickets to a Coasteering Adventure is a guided outdoor tour along the coastlines of Sesimbra and Arrábida, south of Lisbon. Coasteering combines swimming, climbing, sliding, abseiling, and cliff jumping into a single continuous route through the intertidal zone, where rock meets sea. The Arrábida coast is part of a protected natural park and holds one of the highest levels of marine biodiversity in Europe, making it a particularly well-regarded setting for this kind of activity.
Participants move through sea caves, along escarpments, and across open water sections, reading tidal movement and ocean conditions as part of the navigation. The route includes a zipline section, short roped climbs, and multiple jump points of varying heights into the Atlantic. All necessary safety equipment is provided, and guides manage timing around tidal cycles to ensure the best conditions. Tickets cover the full guided session, equipment hire, and safety briefing, with departures scheduled from the Sesimbra and Arrábida area.
Arrive at the meeting point in good time before your session starts. Coasteering is tide-dependent, so your guide may adjust the schedule on the day to make the most of sea conditions. Follow any timing updates from Vertente Natural in the lead-up to your visit.
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time.
