Champs-sur-Marne Château and Gardens is an attraction east of Paris, a grand early eighteenth-century estate originally built for Paul Poisson de Bourvallais, financier to Louis XIV. The château passed through the hands of several notable owners over the centuries, among them the Duchess of Berry, and became a gathering place for some of France's most significant literary and philosophical figures, including Voltaire and Marcel Proust. The interiors are decorated in the rococo and chinoiserie styles that defined aristocratic taste in the period, and the formal gardens extend the grandeur of the house into the landscape.

Entry covers access to the château rooms and the surrounding gardens, allowing visitors to move through both at their own pace. A multilingual booklet, available in French, English, Spanish, German, and Italian, is included with admission and provides context for the architecture, decoration, and history of the estate. An audio guide in the same five languages is available separately for an additional fee of three euros. The château is wheelchair accessible, and the starting point is 31 Rue de Paris.
