This whale watching cruise departs from Sydney Harbour and heads into open ocean in search of humpback whales along their southern hemisphere migration route. The operator has been running these trips for over two decades, and each four-hour cruise is accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who provides commentary on the species known to pass through Sydney's waters and answers questions throughout. The humpback migration along this coastline is one of the largest in the world, with an estimated 36,000 whales expected to make the passage each season.

Departures leave from the Eastern Pontoon on Macquarie Street, with guests boarding Thunder Jet Boat for the full four-hour trip. Depending on the option selected at booking, the cruise includes either breakfast or lunch served onboard, along with complimentary coffee, tea, or water. Beverages from the licensed bar are available at an additional cost. Tickets cover the cruise, your chosen meal, and all guide commentary.
