About High School Musical

High School Musical is a stage musical at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre in London, based on the 2006 Disney film that introduced Troy Bolton, Gabriella Montez, Sharpay Evans and the students of East High to audiences worldwide. This 2025 production marks twenty years since the original film, and arrives in a fresh staging co-directed by Hope Mill Theatre founders Joseph Houston and William Whelton, with choreography by Aaron Renfree and music adapted and produced by Bryan Louiselle.

The cast is led by Tobias Turley as Troy, Leonor Correia as Gabriella, Caitlin Tipping as Sharpay and Luke Bayer as Ryan, with Harry Judd of McFly playing Coach Bolton and original film cast member KayCee Stroh returning as Ms Darbus. The book is by David Simpatico, and the score includes Breaking Free, Get'cha Head in the Game, Stick to the Status Quo and We're All In This Together.
