Como: Guided City Tour and Lake Cruise
Choose your experience
Como: Guided City Tour and Lake Cruise is a three-hour guided tour combining a walking exploration of Como's historic centre with a boat cruise on Lake Como, departing from Piazza Cavour. Como sits at the southern tip of Lake Como, roughly 50 kilometres north of Milan, and the tour opens with views across the water to the surrounding hills before moving into the old town. Highlights on foot include Como Cathedral, a Gothic and Renaissance structure begun in 1396, the neoclassical Teatro Sociale, the Medieval Walls, and the Life Electric monument by architect Daniel Libeskind, installed on the Foranea Dam as a tribute to physicist Alessandro Volta, who was born in Como.
After the walking section, the group boards a boat for a cruise covering the first basin of Lake Como, passing the lakeside villages of Cernobbio, Moltrasio, Torno, and Blevio. The tour is conducted in English throughout, and a radioguide service is included so commentary remains clear on the water. Tickets cover the local guide, the free-movement boat ticket for the first basin, the radioguide service, insurance, and service fees. Entrance fees to museums and attractions are not included. The tour starts at Piazza Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour 5, Como, and wheelchair access is not available on this itinerary.
