Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau

The Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau is one of Barcelona's most extraordinary architectural achievements, a UNESCO World Heritage Site designed by the Catalan architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Construction began in 1901 and the complex served as a fully functioning hospital until 2009, after which it was carefully restored and opened to the public as a cultural monument.
