Tentang tempat

Mengenai tempat ini

The Alte Nationalgalerie stands on Museum Island in the heart of the River Spree in Berlin, one of the most celebrated concentrations of museum architecture in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Designed by Friedrich August Stüler and completed in 1876, the building takes the form of a Corinthian temple raised on a high podium, with an equestrian statue of Friedrich Wilhelm IV presiding over the grand staircase. Inside, the collection spans nineteenth-century European art, from German Romanticism and the Nazarene movement through French Impressionism to early Modernism. Works by Caspar David Friedrich, Adolph Menzel, and Auguste Rodin sit alongside paintings by Monet and Cézanne, tracing the full arc of artistic ambition across that century.

Entry tickets are available for visitors wishing to explore the permanent collection at their own pace across the gallery's five floors.
