Cable Car Roundtrip to Schilthorn at Schilthorn

The Cable Car Roundtrip to Schilthorn is an attraction in the Lauterbrunnen valley, running from Stechelberg up to the Schilthorn summit at 2,970 metres above sea level. The Schilthorn is best known as the filming location for the 1969 James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and the revolving Piz Gloria restaurant at the summit featured directly in the production. The cable car ascends through four stages, passing above waterfalls and alpine terrain, with the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau visible across the ridge, all three peaks forming part of the UNESCO Jungfrau-Aletsch World Heritage area.

Tickets cover a roundtrip cable car journey between Stechelberg and Schilthorn, with stops including Birg station, where the Skyline Walk viewing platform and the Thrill Walk cliff path are both accessible. At the summit, entry includes Spy World, an interactive indoor attraction dedicated to the Bond filming history, the Walk of Fame, and three lounges along the Schilthorn Ridge. The route departs from the Schilthornbahn base station. Wheelchair access is available throughout.
