About the venue

About this venue

Reduta Jazz Club holds a singular place in Prague's cultural life as the oldest jazz club in the Czech Republic, operating continuously on Národní třída in the New Town district. The low-ceilinged, intimate room has hosted generations of Czech jazz musicians and earned international recognition in 1994 when Bill Clinton played saxophone on its stage during a state visit, a moment that became one of the club's most celebrated chapters.

The programme at Reduta centres on live jazz performed most evenings, drawing both established Czech acts and visiting musicians from across Europe. The club's atmosphere owes much to its compact, unadorned interior, where the audience sits close to the performers and the acoustics reward that proximity. Concerts at Reduta Jazz Club offer an evening rooted in the city's long tradition of jazz appreciation, in a room whose history stretches back through decades of Prague's social and artistic life.
