About the venue

About this venue

The Singapore Night Safari occupies a dedicated section of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve in northern Singapore, operating as the world's first nocturnal wildlife park. Opened in 1994, it was conceived as a pioneering conservation and visitor experience, allowing guests to observe more than 2,500 animals across roughly 900 species in naturalistic habitats lit by specially designed low-intensity lighting that mimics moonlight without disturbing the animals' natural behaviour. The park is divided into geographical zones representing regions including the Himalayan Foothills, the Indian Subcontinent, Equatorial Africa, and South-East Asia, traversed by a guided tram ride as well as a series of walking trails.

Currently available through tickadoo is the Singapore Night Safari entry ticket paired with roundtrip transport, making the journey from the city centre straightforward for visitors unfamiliar with the route to Mandai. The Night Safari has earned a reputation as one of Singapore's most distinctive wildlife encounters, drawing visitors who want to see nocturnal creatures such as fishing cats, giant flying squirrels, and Malayan tapirs in conditions that reflect their natural waking hours.
