Taste of the Tablelands is a full-day guided tour departing from Cairns or the Northern Beaches, taking in the Atherton Tablelands through a series of stops at working farms, distilleries, wildlife sites, and natural landmarks. The route climbs the Kuranda Range into the rainforest, where a canopy walk leads to views over Barron Falls Gorge, before crossing into the savannah country of the Mareeba district. It is one of the more varied day tours available from Cairns, combining landscape, food production, and native wildlife in a single itinerary.

Morning tea is served at Skybury Plantation, a working coffee and papaya farm, with fresh scones and Skybury coffee on an outdoor deck. Granite Gorge follows, where unadorned rock wallabies, a rare macropod species, can be hand-fed among distinctive granite boulder formations. Mt. Uncle Distillery offers tastings of botanical gins, rums, vodkas, and liqueurs made from Far North Queensland ingredients. The final stop is Gallos Dairyland in the Upper Barron, a working dairy that also operates a gourmet cheese factory, cafe, and chocolate production. Tickets cover guided commentary throughout, all tastings at each venue, morning tea, and lunch at Gallos Dairyland.
