STREET KART Shibuya sits in one of Tokyo's most recognisable districts, putting drivers behind the wheel of a go-kart on the public roads that wind through Shibuya. The experience draws on the area's reputation as a crossroads of contemporary Tokyo, where wide intersections, illuminated storefronts, and constant movement form the backdrop to every lap. Participants drive in convoy through streets that pass some of the district's most photographed corners, making the route itself as much a part of the experience as the driving.

The current programme centres on a 60-minute go-karting session that takes in Shibuya's road network at street level, offering a perspective on the city that is quite different from a bus tour or a walk. STREET KART operates under Japanese road traffic law, so drivers hold a valid licence before taking the wheel.
