Britannia Mine Museum: Entry Ticket + Guided Tour

Britannia Mine Museum is a museum and heritage attraction near Vancouver, built on the site of what was once one of the largest copper mines in the British Empire. The mine operated from 1904 to 1974, and the preserved site on the shores of Howe Sound now offers a full guided underground experience alongside surface exhibits covering the social and industrial history of the operation. It sits roughly an hour north of central Vancouver, making it a practical day trip from the city.

The guided underground tour runs for around 30 minutes aboard a mine train, taking visitors into the tunnels where miners once worked. On the surface, the visit includes access to interactive and historical exhibits, close viewing of rare gems and mineral specimens, and a gold panning session. The BOOM! Live Show Experience, a 15-minute demonstration, is also included. The site has full wheelchair access. Entry tickets cover all of the above, including the underground tour, gold panning, and the live show. Cancellation is accepted before the booked timeslot, and gratuities are optional.
