“We actually had an unusual experience...we booked tickets to Murano and 10 minutes into our journey, the small boy near to us was crying and scared. I knew immediately that he was separated from his parents. Through google translate and another person we found out he was German and the nice drivers located his mother's location with the radio/phone to the other water bus drivers. She and the grandfather had gotten off thinking that he was with the grandfather but he was not. We stayed with him and were communicating through google translate that the drivers were getting him back to his mom. It was very emotional and we were very happy with the response of the drivers toward the boy's situation. The one thing that was hard was that, the day after we went to a ticket office near Santa Lucia and told him that we did not see Murano because of the situation. We asked for a replacement trip to Murano and he said "no, you need to write an email."”
