Barcelona Zoo

Barcelona Zoo occupies a large section of the Ciutadella Park in the Eixample district, one of the city's most storied green spaces and the site of the 1888 Universal Exhibition. The zoo is home to hundreds of species from across the world, with particular focus on conservation programmes for endangered animals. Its grounds include dedicated areas for primates, big cats, birds, and marine life, making it one of the most comprehensive zoological collections in southern Europe. The zoo has long been associated with scientific research as well as public education, and its location within Ciutadella Park means visitors can combine a day at the zoo with a walk through one of Barcelona's most historically significant public spaces.

At present, the zoo offers a Skip The Line Ticket, allowing visitors to move directly to the entrance without queuing at the ticket office. This is a practical option during busy periods, particularly in the warmer months when the park and its surroundings attract large numbers of visitors.
